I’m home, a couple of hours late thanks to a broken windshield wiper motor on our plane from Oakland. At least it was a direct flight, so we weren’t fretting about connections, just tired, bored, and stressed by the noise and crowds in the terminal. More details after I sleep!
Well, that was strange.
Feb. 13th, 2008 07:24 pmI was reading LJ on the desktop, and it suddenly went into slideshow mode and wouldn’t come out. The cursor was still there, and changing shape as I moused around, so eventually I managed to shut it down blind.

The weather outside is frightful
Dec. 11th, 2007 05:42 pmOf course, one can’t complain about rain, but this is the fourth day in a row, and the coldest yet, with a high temperature that never reached 50. There was snow on l he mountains, when the clouds briefly lifted to reveal them. We have been getting occa.sional scraps of rainbow, which is some consolation. Days like this remind me how much I’ve adjusted to the desert, become dependent on sunlight, and lost my ability to shrug off cold and wet.
