Today's Voyage episode was the S1 The Village of Guilt, a.k.a. the one with the overgrown octopus. I laughed out loud when Captain Crane said that even if he saw a sea monster he wouldn't believe it, and Nelson solemnly told him that they did exist, but were only six or seven inches long. This was, I suppose, the first episode with aquatic megafauna, but by no means the last.
I'm falling for this show all over again, I really am. I did wonder about the tropical reef fish in a Norwegian fjord, though.

Date: 2006-11-21 12:30 pm (UTC)I've now watched all the episodes on the first set of discs, but am trying to hold off a bit before watching that incredible run towards the end.
How long can I wait before watching The Enemies and The Condemmed, my personal favourites? I've already watched Mutiny which is the other one that makes up my top three...

Date: 2006-11-21 05:31 pm (UTC)I started off with one episode a week, then ran into May sweeps, followed by summer travel madness, and stopped for a while, skipped ahead to a couple of favourites in the second set, and then watched the first four of S2 in quick succession. I enjoyed those a lot -- all fun Nelson-centric episodes, and I've never seen them looking so good. Now I'm back on the first set.
I can hardly wait for the second half of S2. Granted, there are some dreadful episodes in there, and Richard Basehart's illness didn't help, but I really want to see The Phantom Strikes and Return of the Phantom in all their uncut glory.
