I don't think he ever bargained on the sort of loving, obsessive rewatching that modern technology makes possible. I wonder if the VCR/DVD phenomenon has encouraged the recent trend for story arcs instead of standalone episodes?
I started off with one episode a week, then ran into May sweeps, followed by summer travel madness, and stopped for a while, skipped ahead to a couple of favourites in the second set, and then watched the first four of S2 in quick succession. I enjoyed those a lot -- all fun Nelson-centric episodes, and I've never seen them looking so good. Now I'm back on the first set.
I can hardly wait for the second half of S2. Granted, there are some dreadful episodes in there, and Richard Basehart's illness didn't help, but I really want to see The Phantom Strikes and Return of the Phantom in all their uncut glory.
