Tuesday: general
May. 31st, 2005 08:04 pmIf anyone is interested and hasn't found them yet, I put the New Orleans pictures here. A couple of posts on Sunday and Monday give context for some of them.
I am rather worried about my Amazon package, which DHL/Airborne Home claim to have delivered to my strictly Monday-Friday workplace on Saturday morning. Given that their modus operandi involves handing it over to the USPS for the last leg, I'm not completely panicked yet, but I'll have to chase them if it hasn't shown up by tomorrow. It includes Bujold's Hallowed Hunt. I'm also mildly peeved that it no longer seems to be possible to bookmark a delivery-tracking page on the Amazon site.
The weather has been beautiful today, with clear blue skies and temperatures in the balmy nineties. The cactus flowers are nearly over, sadly. I think I spotted baby mourning doves in that saguaro nest where the mother had been sitting so long. Also, the baobab tree that I was worried about a few weeks ago now has a full set of leaves, as does the neighbouring acacia.
