I really have no right to complain, but ...

I am so tired of being tired.

Actually, I rather strongly suspect by now that it isn't simple tiredness; more likely it's some nondescript ultra-low-level virus thing. It's been going on for more than a week, and early nights don't help. Even caffeine doesn't make any noticeable difference -- not even the usual temporary lift. It goes in waves; in the course of an hour or two I cycle from more-or-less normal for the time of day to so weary I can hardly keep my eyes open. Now I've spotted the pattern, I can at least try to do something constructive with the better parts. Odd aches come and go: a forearm; a hip; high up behind the eyes. None of it is bad enough to justify so much as an aspirin, but it's getting old. On past experience, one day it will just be gone, and it will only be then that I can be sure that I wasn't imagining the whole thing. In the meantime, I have work to do.

I spent half my lunch-hour experimenting with the camera again. The results might have been better if I'd remembered that I need to zoom out, not in, for macro mode. Steady light would have helped, too: wind and partial cloud aren't the ideal conditions for shooting closeups of delicate blossom.

My husband (who's a nature photographer) spends a lot of time complaining about the wind. :)

Beautiful blossoms - what kind of tree? They look rather like our flowering cherry tree's blossoms, but I can never really tell the difference between various flowering fruit trees.

What a lovely picture. Thank you for sharing it.

Hope you kick the virus (or whatever it is) soon.
