via BoingBoing.net. I remember playing with Mandelbrot in the 2nd year computer lab on a BBC micro, but this is truly amazing -- if a little dizzy-making.

It is rather hypnotic, isn't it? I found that after watching it for a while, everything else would seem to be gently zooming in reverse.
