Consumerism, redux

Reader, I married him bought the laptop. The one with dragons on. So far, the setup experience is going a great deal more smoothly than it did with my first Vista machine, the Dell desktop that took exception to my third-party keyboard and USB hub. But then, it's a laptop, and laptops tend to be easier that way; also, it's conveniently close to the wireless router, which was the other problem I had with the desktop until I got the external antenna.
Its name is Dragonfly, to continue the insect theme of Butterfly and Beetle.

Date: 2009-07-30 06:32 am (UTC)The funny thing is, until Monday I thought I'd convinced myself I wanted a red one, having narrowed the technical aspects down to the point where I was comfortable buying on looks. And then I saw this one in the store, and fell for it.
I'm having fun with it so far.
