Apr. 9th, 2009 11:16 pmI'm home, after a day of intense scientific conversation in scruffy little offices with grey rained-in views of the Bay.Some of the roads around Berkeley are so steep they feel as though they should take a rack-and-pinion to get up and a sliding mat to get down. Lunch was the kind of Chinese food that features a lot of bread and dumplings and wheat noodles -- not like the usual Cantonese at all, but good. (In honor of which, here's the dragon icon.)
Journey back was pretty much uneventful. I'm glad it's our Spring Day holiday tomorrow, though. If it hadn't been, I'd probably have declared a vacation day anyway.
I think my mildly wonky knee is already happier to be back in warmer, drier climes.
