More random than usual

ellarienSodalite and denim lapis, at least in 4mm bead form, turn out to be indistinguishable to the naked eye. Turquoise (dyed?) jasper is too greenish to go with them. I don't think that disrupts my plans too much, though.
Dud Palm was picked up this afternoon, and the replacement is on its way -- might even show up tomorrow, given it's only coming from Phoenix. I still might not get it until Monday. Near as I can tell, the Shipping/Receiving folks mostly just take in the last delivery on Friday afternoon and go home, leaving it to deal with on Monday.
The wind is rushing around outside like crazy, and ringing peals on the downstairs neighbors' wind chimes.
I want a visual bibliography browser. Also the editorial clout to tell some people, that no, the physical properties of a given star don't care what they assume about some of its other properties -- that only affects what they think the properties are.
And it seems I'll be paying a flying visit to the Bay area in a couple of weeks -- fly into Oakland on the Wednesday night, give a seminar at Berkeley on Thursday morning and have lunch there, fly back to Tucson that evening.
