Dinner cooks faster when it's in the oven rather than sitting on top of it.

And in my experience, the whole cooking process is further speeded up by actually switching on the oven. :-)

Oh, I've done that one too. This time the oven was on -- which meant it was pouring out heat for the AC to deal with, for half an hour longer than necessary.

Air conditioning?? You horrible person, you!! (Fx: Checks User Info) People didn't ought to be allowed to live in Arizona this time of the year, when it's still 9ºC at midday over here! (48ºF, they tell me. Cold, anyway.) Hmpf.
