I went to the mall this afternoon. The useful watch is now working again; no charge for the battery, which was under warranty, but six dollars for a gasket as the original one was, after more than twenty years, completely flattened. Then I had a mocha, and on the way to my other objectives wandered through Robinsons May, where I found a couple more outfits similar to the one I bought a month ago. Having grown up shopping in British chain stores that carry their own lines, I continue to be mildly croggled by finding the same clothes in different department stores in the same mall. I also wonder if I'm the only shopper in Tucson who doesn't abandon my unwanted tryings-on in the fitting rooms. Other spoils from the afternoon included a new sun-hat, some letter-sized photo paper, and an extra memory card for the camera. I remembered to take a book this time, so I had something to read while drinking the mocha and waiting for the bus home.
Tomorrow:Sunday things 1 and 2, laundry, clean up after doing taxes, and clean up generally.
