It was windy and cool today, but it's definitely starting to look like Spring, with buds and faint hints of green here and there, and the cassia bushes in full sweet-scented bloom. It's hard to tell if any residual sniffles are the remnants of last week's cold or the beginnings of allergy season, but the weird discomfort in my chest is probably something to do with the cold. I seem to have my brain back, at least.
Today's big adventure was exploring the mail-filtering capabilities of Thunderbird, which I haven't exercised much so far. It takes several iterations (running the controls, then un-junking a sample of stuff I want to keep, then running the controls again and re-junking the stuff it then wrongly de-junks) to get the "Junk mail controls" to appreciate the exact level at which I distinguish between recurring-but-benign and unacceptable, and it would be nice to see what it was doing, but it did seem to get the idea eventually, both at home and at work.
