I caught the first bus this morning, and wandered around the campus in the early morning light and relative coolness, dodging joggers and looking for night-flowering cactus blooms. Mostly it was a case of flower yesterday or flower tomorrow, but this one I caught in the act.

What a spectacular flower! as you may have seen or read, We are having a terribly wet June. A lot of the north of England has been flooded more than once. London seems to have missed most of the worst but last night there was a monsoon type rain that I haven't seen for ages!

That's good! She must be one of the lucky one's. More rain is on it's way and it doesn't seem to be letting up for more than a day at a time.
