Heating update

They're waiting to hear from the manufacturer about a 'custom made piece of sheet metal,'
and it 'may not be today, it may be tomorrow.'

55 degrees.

Also, it turns out that Ellariens (still) don't like porridge/oatmeal. I tried, but only managed to get through about two-thirds of the serving before it congealed beyond edibility.

I'm tempted, but it's specifically forbidden in the lease!

(This is Arizona, after all. I don't think they worry much about the possibility of tenants dying of cold!)

I wonder if there's anything in the lease about the fact that management is required to provide heat. One should trump the other, if they can't provide you heat, you should be able to fend for yourself! Hope the part comes soon.

I think there's something that says you can't live in the apartment if the utilities are off, and maybe something about lack of heat being the sort of emergency you can call for out-of-hours service, but no absolute requirement.

Anyway, they seem to have found it, and it's working now.
