ellarienBased on Friday night's episode of Doctor Who, I think I like Martha; she's smart and relatively sensible, which makes a nice change. The Runaway Bride woman, on the other hand, was about as annoying as possible, though she did have a redeeming moment or two at the end.
In Phoenix at the weekend, I met a couple I haven't seen in years, people I mostly think of as friends of my grandparents even though they're a little younger than my parents. This resulted in my spending a certain amount of time in contemplation of memories nearly a quarter-century old.
Last night's Inspector Lynley episode on PBS was billed as new, but seemed hauntingly familiar. I surely can't have seen it back home; the cellphones were too small for it to have been made that long ago. (I haven't really had access to UK TV, bar the odd night in a hotel, since late 1997.)
The Amazon package that was shipped from Richmond, CA on June 29th finally made it here, by way of Denver.
We are now definitely in the Monsoon season, with the dewpoint hovering above 50 degrees. It's a little cooler, but somewhat on the sticky side.
