Baby Lizard Not a gecko, I think -- he has claws rather than toe pads. Found on my living room wall, July 2007. The picture at this scale is about life size.

We get small gecko type lizards in the house in Sri Lanka and they do have toe pads. They usually stay in the upper corners of the room in the evenings and are a very pale green colour with no other markings but I've never managed to get a shot of one yet as they move like lightning when humans get close.

I've never seen one of these indoors before. (Well, once, but that was in Chile.) He was sat still for the photo, but was gone when I came back into the room half an hour later.

His bigger friends and relations skitter around in the undergrowth, but I've never managed to catch one on camera.

Capturing Wildlife on film is one of my favorite things and I look forwards one day to get a more powerful lens with a digital slr to capture those long distance shots.
