Not my favorite time of year ...

It's 11.40pm. It's still about 90 degrees out (My preferred way of finding out what temperature it is outside is to check the UofA webcam), and we've had ten days in a row of 100+ temperatures and almost cloudless skies, with daytime humidity around 10%. Humidity seems to be up a bit tonight, but not enough to notice, and the monsoon is still somewhere off the end of the long-range forecasts. I put off grocery shopping until almost sunset, when it wasn't exactly cool but at least the shadows were long, and spent most of the afternoon being lazy.
Tomorrow I have to do laundry, which involves trapseing back and forth to the laundry room at least three times with armfuls of stuff -- the last time with hot fresh-dried stuff. (I don't have anywhere to hang a whole session's worth of laundry to air-dry, so daft as it is I have to use the dryers for most of it.)
