As I was leaving the convention center this evening, I happened to glance down the street and there was a rainbow, or at least half of one. With clouds hanging over the mountains most of the time, and the odd gentle shower, it's not too surprising to see rainbows fairly often, I suppose, but I wasn't expecting that one.
In other news, I went for a walk in the park and by the beach yesterday, and took many photos, and the convention center building continues to be a delight although the organization of the actual conference leaves something to be desired, especially on the technical side. (The wireless internet manages to be flaky in incredibly innovative ways, including periodically causing my computer to report that it isn't connected when it is; also someone had the bright idea of using IntelMacs running virtual windows instead of physically separate Windows and MacOs machines in the meeting rooms, and neglected little details like finishing setting up MediaPlayer on the Windoze side.)
