Meisha Merlin Question

There are two Meisha Merlin books on my list for this year; Lee & Miller's Crystal Soldier and Janny Wurts' Traitor's Knot. Both of them are showing on Amazon as 'usually ships within 3-5 weeks', but when I actually placed the order they came back with delivery estimates of early-mid April and mid-May. I'm not in a desperate hurry for either, but I do want to be sure of actually getting them before they go out of print.

The question is, would I be better off (not necessarily in dollar terms) ordering direct from Meisha Merlin instead of through Amazon? I gather that Crystal Soldier, at least, does actually exist as of this week.
