Ever-decreasing circles

ellarienThe suitcase is packed, the backpack is partly packed, the coffee machine has been set for 5.30am, and I'm printing out reading copies of this year's stories in lieu of actually writing anything tonight. I managed to print one of them with all the odd pages numbered 1, but it's double-sided and the even numbers are OK, so I think we'll survive.
I should probably go to bed soon, given the non-happeningness of anything very productive at this point.
Next post will probably be from Hawaii, maybe late tomorrow night. It looks as though the hotel has free internet, which is a little unusual for the sort of hotels associated with these big meetings, but welcome; if that doesn't work out, there's always the wireless at the meeting itself.
