The cactus flowers are mostly over, apart from the night-blooming types and the barrel cacti that haven't started yet, and the saguaro blooms high up out of reach. So I'm back to bedding plants, and the landscapers are back to zinnias, which stand up middling well to high-90's temperatures. The ones in the corner bed by my office almost all died for some reason, though.

Love the symmetry, There is a similar flower I saw in Sri Lanka. See here I took a couple of years ago in the family garden.
Looked at your photo gallery for the first time earlier and saw some pictures from The Cape. I was born in Cape Town. When were you there?
