This thing has been sitting in the campus cactus garden for as long as I can remember, at the base of the stump of the defunct Boojum tree, but I've never seen it in flower before. I was wandering back from lunch today and there it was, all these delicate pink flowers. I couldn't get really close, so this is more documentation than artistic shot.

My very good and old friend Del_C mentioned that you were a fan of flowers and was a Brit living in USA near the desert. So I thought you may be interested in my LJ where I'm currently running a selection of pictures of English Garden Flowers in London.

Welcome! I lived in London for a while, but not in a part with much in the way of gardens. I miss English spring flowers, but the variety and showiness of the flowers here almost make up for it.

I checked out your site on flickr and loved your flower macros. There is so much diversity everywhere. On saturday I will be flying to Sri Lanka to visit My Wife's Family. I will be taking quite a few pics of the flora there and will post them on my flickr site later in the month.
Do you have any good shots of desert sunrises or sunsets?

Well, there's this, but I'm not often in the right place at the right time -- Arizona sunsets go by fast, and the interesting ones don't happen all that often because there are so few cloudy days.
