And another one bites the dust: "Defector" finally weighed in at 33,376 words. (I got 930 words yesterday, in transit and in Phoenix, and another 851 tonight after I got home.) I suspect it needs major revisions, which will either shrink it considerably or expand it into another half-novel.

However. That's all three of the fanfic projects that were hanging around at the beginning of the year, pushed through to the end. Now I have to get serious about outlining Behemoth 47 before I plunge in and start writing it again. If I feel like cat-vacuuming, I suppose I could try to make it an icon.

In other news, Phoenix had major wind and dust storms yesterday, apparently, so I suppose we got off lightly with our bit of rain.

Thanks! I'm still a ways off from feeling comfortable calling myself a writer, but I'm having fun, and I'm quite pleased that I've been able to stick to it for this long.
