I'm home. Last night I had a computerless evening for once, sitting with a purring cat on my lap, reading. This afternoon, I wandered leisurely through the Denver airport, got to my gate with an hour so spare before boarding, found a seat by a power outlet, and watched a Stargate:SG1 episode on the laptop. After all, today was supposed to be a holiday! (Rodeo day, a purely Tucson holiday.) The reading material held out nicely -- I have maybe twenty pages of Crossing the Line left. After reading that and Hammered in quick succession, I badly need to read something light and fluffy with a happy ending. Maybe a Heyer reread.

This morning, I was contemplating the Minas Tirith miniature from the ROTK Gift Set. Very nice, but ... it isn't a city. The First Level is all of four houses deep, and the higher ones even narrower; also, there's no way to get from one level to the next. I'm not sure how accurately that model matches the models used in filming, mind, though it looks very similar.

It feels strange to be enjoying the higher humidity in Tucson, but the air in Boulder was so dry it hurt to breathe, and every bit of metal snapped with static.

I'm tired enough that I'm typing as many random words as ones I mean, but it's good to be home.
