Busy Sunday

ellarienSince the grocery-store trip mentioned earlier, I've done four loads of laundry, including the quilt and mattress pad off the bed, as well as as much hand laundry as I can conveniently drip-dry. A time-and-motion expert would have been horrified by my chaotic and distractible efforts to multitask, but it all got done in the end, as well as some token vacuuming, taking out of trash, and the remaking of the bed. I thought at one point it was going to rain, but it didn't come to much.
After all that, I was quite tired by this evening, and writing happened on the sofa. The story is finally starting to move forward again. (Flying saucers. Flickering lights. More alien species than you can shake a stick at.)
For the record, I'm at 20,322 words on Ambassador.
Now the new magic box is doing its thing watching the Dresden Files for me, and I'm going to bed with a good book as soon as I've synched the story file to the other computer.
