Yesterday, I noticed that the strap on the Useful Watch had lost its remaining loop. I think I've had that strap for four or five years, so no big deal. I put on the New Watch, (bought in April 2005) and carried on with my day.
This morning, I noticed as the bus approached work that my watch was still showing the same time it had when I left home. (That thing about sensible hours? Not really happening, at least not yet.)
So that leaves me with the Pretty Watch, which is also probably overdue for a replacement battery but still seems to be going. This is (I hope) a Phoenix weekend, so nothing much will happen about any of this until next weekend.
Sigh. I've been looking at the non-functioning watch all day, and then realizing afresh that it isn't going to tell me anything useful.
