Last three book purchases

anghara's question:
All of these were Amazon purchases, like most of the books I buy these days. Quite apart from online recommendations, I do periodic searches for authors I like to see if anything new is coming. I'm a little behind, so I haven't read any of these yet and it may be a few more weeks before I get to them.
Charles Stross, The Jennifer Morgue I first encountered the author on the rasf* newsgroups, read his blog and LJ, and the online buzz on the first couple of books was good. I now buy everything he publishes as soon as it comes out, in hardcover. I really enjoyed The Atrocity Archives, the predecessor to this one, too. As it's from a small press, I might never have found it without the internet.
James Hetley, Dragon's Teeth Another rasfc alumnus, and I enjoyed the previous one in the series enough to add this to my shopping cart as soon as it was listed.
Gene Wolfe, Soldier of Sidon, a new sequel to the Latros books. It's Gene Wolfe, and not a short story collection, so of course I ordered it! (It got a bit jammed in the gears of the database, and I had to email customer service about it before I could actually place the order.)
And the last Alma Alexander book? Embers of Heaven, UK paperback, tracked down with some effort in central Birmingham when I was there in September. (Third shop I tried, I think.)
