Apr. 27th, 2008 08:03 amThe newly remodeled Tucson airport has free wifi! Also plug-n spots, though on shelf of a height -- too low to stand straight, too high to sit -- that was obviously designed to discourage long use.
I'm trying to travel light this trip, so I only have the small camera, Eee, Palm, and mobile phone along -- no iPod, no Palm keyboard, no full-sized laptop I almost persuaded myself not to bring the Palm either, but I'm too closely bonded to the thing, and I don't think I could write on the Eee while standing up in the boarding line, which I have done on the Palm.
One of these days there will be a gadget that does everything -- web, ebooks, phone, music, good photos, word processing -- and has long enough battery life to keep doing it for a traveling day. Today is not that day, so I have this absurd collection of compromise gadgets occupying overlapping areas of size-functionality space.
Also, it's still too early in the morning!
