According to the BBC website, the coming weekend's Superbowl is to be played at the "University of Arizona Stadium in Glendale, Arizona."
Um, no. The University of Arizona is in Tucson, and plays college football (usually badly) on Saturdays at the Arizona Stadium, where they make the big telescope mirrors. The Superbowl venue in Glendale -- one of the cities in the greater Phoenix conurbation -- is the University of Phoenix stadium, shiny new home of the Arizona Cardinals (professional, Sunday football, also not great); it would be a little unkind, but not far off, to say that the University of Phoenix is neither in Phoenix, nor a University -- it's one of those for-profit distance learning things, with branches all over the place, and got its name on the stadium as a commercial sponsorship deal, not because it has anything to do with the games played there.
