I woke up to rain, and it's been grey and intermittently drizzly all day, so my projected expedition to see whether the turtles are still around in their pond at the other end of the campus has been postponed until this installment of winter is out of the way. I didn't even take the new camera out, the little one being perfectly adequate for recording the mummified worm-cans in old bound volumes of Nature.
Rain is always welcome, but it's a rare enough condition here that the buildings and trees look decidedly odd against a cloudy sky; the whole campus is designed to frame glimpses of flawless blue.
