Nonconformity

That's the current checklist of 'popular interests' offered in the LJ Update Profile page. I don't have any of them listed in my profile, and I don't intend to; books, internet and coffee are pretty much the only ones that really appeal to me. (Having 'family' listed as an interest reminds me of those consumer survey cards that come with small appliances, where they list 'grandchildren' as a possible hobby.) There are at least half a dozen items on that list that I actively don't care for, have no wish to have in my life, or regard as necessary evils.
But then, I've realized for a while that I'm not exactly the target demographic of the new LJ.
