Not recent, but dating back to 2002 and the old APS camera; not Spring but late fall; not 'my' desert, but the Mohave, looking west from Joshua Tree over the San Andreas fault. It reminds me of shots from an observatory mountain in Chile a solar cycle before that, with the barren wrinkled hills and the hazy distances, the first time I realized a desert could be beautiful.

What a great series of photos. I was excited to actually fly over Joshua Tree on the way home Sunday.
