Lovely color, almost magenta on my screen. I am enjoying photographing the very few desert flowers I've been able to find. Cholla, mallow and..those yellow ones that spring up out of silvery-sage leaves.

Brittlebush?

Last year was the year for wildflowers -- this has been a very dry winter for the desert. The picture was taken in a front yard on campus -- and a very similar bush just down the street, which was covered in flowers last year, isn't doing a thing now.
