Coolest thing I've seen this year

The Aeroscraft would be part helium dirigible, part cruise-ship, part turboprop. It could cross the US in 18 hours and have room aboard for a restaurants, luxury staterooms, and even a casino. Or, the designer speculates, a cargo version could land in a Walmart parking lot or deliver supplies to an oil-rig. There seems to be an official website, too.

Sadly, they probably won't be affordable to proles like me. But I can hope!

Somehow I doubt our research funding will run to that style of travel, either. It would be fun just to see something like that at the airport, though.
