I must have slept in an awkward position last night, and without sufficient covers; I woke up with a lot of pain and stiffness in the neck and left shoulder. It wasn't bad enough to stop me getting dressed and going in to work (though I did discover when I got there that I had omitted both to zip my new pants and remove the tag), but halfway through the Thursday morning meeting it spasmed and I couldn't find a comfortable position at all. My very kind boss went out and bought me a heating pad, and I spent most of the rest of the day with that draped over my shoulder, trying without much success to find a comfortable typing position. (It's surprisingly hard to manage keyboard and mouse with limited movement in one arm.) I didn't realize until I saw myself in the bathroom mirror just how far I was leaning over to one side; I'm a bit lopsided at the best of times, but this is ridiculous.
I came home early, and am trying Ibuprofen. (Will also try not to spend the whole evening messing with the computer. Typing this on Old Laptop, which is at least lighter.)
