ellarienThings I need to choose and/or pack:
DVDs -- Myst IV, some B5, maybe a movie or two.
Books -- probably the paperbacks in the Amazon shipment that's waiting for me at work.
Crochet pattern and thread, over and above the unfinished project from the New Orleans trip.
Clothes for late summer/early fall in northern England. Jeans and t-shirts for hiking, medium-weight skirts and blouses for work, dresses for church and hot weather. Socks. Hose. Hats. Real shoes as well as sandals. Cardigans. Underwear. Quilted jacket. Nighties. Umbrella.
Hair ornaments and scrunchies.
Presents from New Orleans.
Other things to take care of:
Transport to airport.
Necessary paperwork for visa appointment.
Bills.
Rent.
Finish off last summer's film (and get it developed if possible, but probably too late for that!)
Keys and instructions for keeping an eye on the place. (Remember to include running water through the plumbing occasionally -- it tends to leak if it's been dry for too long!)
Leave apartment sufficiently clean and tidy.
