Yes, it's about a foot deep out there. No buses, and the trains are proceeding very cautiously. I was fortunate to get home last night, I think -- the train was three quarters of an hour late into Sheffield, and I ended up sharing a taxi to with a couple of strangers, one of whom was then going to walk up the hill to my mother's road. I'm cosy enough in my flat at the bottom of the hill, but I'm going to have to go up to my mother's soon, as she has the food! I'm glad I have my knee-length boots rather than the mid-calf wellies (circa 1980).
