It might be, though I suspect British prices are a bit higher than what I saw last night. For that application, provided your dad doesn't have an objection to leaving stuff around plugged in, I can see it would be a nice idea. If it wasn't for the plugged-in aspect, I'd probably have given my mother one by now. Maybe when they start coming with long-lasting batteries ...
