We have yellow cactus flowers, just a few, but no outstanding photos yet. Many of the blooms are in awkward places; I don't mind wandering (watching carefully where I put my feet) over the unfenced eastern border of the campus cactus garden, but I draw the line at crawling around in the yards of possibly-private houses, and a 3x zoom lens only goes so far. I picked up a few fine half-inch spines in my camera case while climbing on a low wall in quest of red cholla blossoms.
