Done for the year

As of now, I'm on vacation until the 2nd of January. Phoenix tomorrow/Sunday, a "get-together" (fairly low-key, I hope) with colleagues of the non-tenured generation on Monday night, and then I can be blissfully asocial for a whole week! Time to catch up on my sleep and maybe coax my body clock towards dealing with the idea of mornings; time to get the apartment cleaned and generally fettled and the last of the summer's laundry done and put away; time to write, I hope. I suppose I shall have to brave the mall at some point, if only to get the earpieces on my new glasses better adjusted, but the general idea is not to spend the whole week frantically dashing back and forth to shops the way I did on my Thanksgiving mini-break.
