Sunday writing update

I think Chapter 5 needs about another 500 or 1000 words. Heroine is currently speaking to HR about her salary and benefits, in pursuance of that spine she suddenly seems to have discovered, and it turns out she has a couple of hours of free time coming. Which is good, because she has a fair amount of thinking and googling to do.

[I'm translating freely into contemporary jargon for the purposes of this post; no such incongruous terms are being used in the actual novel!)



It's only 88F on the campus right now, but last night's modest humidity spike seems to have been a splash in the pan. I survived the laundry, anyway.
