Am atop mountain in NM after six-hour journey. Deer, elk, and snow sighted on the way up; other interesting sights included tanks on a train and a dismembered military plane on a flatbed. Had to plug in laptop in kitchen of apartment-style accommodation because no 3-pin sockets elsewhere. Managed to get some writing done. Am ridiculously tired considering it's only 8pm body time, but I did get up early, and also had two glasses of wine an hour or so ago. Writing happened on the way over; one scene down, or nearly so, two more to go.
