ellarienJust for the record, Defector (or more properly "Defector," I hope, if I was following that rule) is now at 15,383 words. I'm somewhat hoping I can finish it this week, but that would require making actual forward progress with the plot. (At current rates of word production, it would also require wrapping up the story in maybe 4,000 words. That may not quite be possible. Maybe two weeks?)
When that's done, I'm determined to tackle the novel again, which is a fairly scary thought, particularly as I've barely looked at it in the last year.
