It seems that we may be going to get some weather. There were grey clouds touching the tops of the mountains this morning, and it's been chill and windy all day.

The holidays are upon us, and the Mexican eatery on campus is closed. This could be a problem -- I seem to lose weight if I don't get to eat lunch there two or three times a week.

The Deadliest Game is a better episode than I remembered -- not one of the great ones, but dense and plotty and weirdly topical in a twisted sort of way, what with the talk of pre-emptive war. (And Chip actually gets to do something off the sub, for a change.) I'm not sure about that garden in Virginia consisting mostly of castor-oil plants and small palms, though, or why Nelson needed a pointer and easel to show Chip where something was on the map.

The Deadliest Game feels much more like first season than second in some respects. I wonder if it's a script left over from that season that was recycled into the second season milieu.
