I took several pictures of the "atmospheric clarity" in Hefei when we were there. You can see the sun as a brightish circle in the haze.

We picked up a book of pictures from the area, and it included one big one (a spread, I seem to recall) that just looked odd. I tracked down the oddness to the sides of buildings, where there was a bit of a brownish tint clinging to the edges. That's when it hit me that the blue sky had been Photoshopped in.
