Two inches of rain last night, according to the not-very-dependable campus weather gauge. It certainly rained a lot -- I kept waking up and hearing it. I also woke up when someone was knocking on one of my neighbours' doors about 2am.

Three loads of laundry done, one or two more to go. They put up the price, but I can't really complain; it's been years, and the increment is only one more quarter per load.

It turns out that at least one computer worm was circulating via flash drive at the conference in Beijing. My antivirus dealt with it handily, though.

Via Making Light, links to description of a truly dire proposed movie script for something vaguely resembling Bujold's The Warrior's Apprentice.
