ellarienI don't think you get the photo essay on the Forbidden City tonight, I'm afraid.
I was going through the photos for something else, and realized that what I had thought was my first lotus flower, in a bed in Tiananmen Square, was actually a fake. I'm somewhat baffled, because I'm reasonably sure that there were real ones in that bed too, but not where I could easily get at them.
It's hot here, but not noticeably hotter than usual, so I can't really complain. We thought there was going to be storm this evening, but it didn't come to anything worth mentioning.
