It fastens with two fairly hefty lobster clasps, which makes it a little awkward to get on and off, and it's definitely a special-occasions thing, but it's wearable.

Cognitive dissonance

Apparently, there are two authors by the name of Elizabeth George. One of them writes the Inspector Lynley mystery novels -- gritty police procedurals set mostly in the English class system. The other one writes pink inspirational effusions for Christian women.

At least, I hope they're not the same person.
