The answer to last week's question seems to be to use carnelian and nephrite jade serpentine instead of the jasper and aventurine. Much more muted and harmonious. In the meantime, the thing has accreted some more elaborate dangles, with three nuggets of unakite or something very similar as well as the plain beads.

The next question is how best to string everything. I don't think I want to trust all that weight -- basically a double row of mostly stone beads -- to a single strand of wire, so I'll either have to double up on the wire or hook the whole thing together with eye pins
