When life gives you lemons ...
Mar. 19th, 2008 10:30 pmMake lemon chicken.
Actually, lemon garlic ginger chicken. With dried chopped chives. And mushrooms. And sliced Mexican Gray squash. (The juice of one lemon, four crushed garlic cloves, one chicken breast already partially cooked by defrosting in the microwave, and about a cup of water, casseroled in the oven for twenty minutes.)
Thickening the liquid with cornflour afterwards was not an unqualified success -- it thickened to the point of gelling, and made a horrible mess of the strainer -- but it was tasty.
The mango for dessert was also tasty, but I won't get any style points for the way I demolished it.
